The beginnings of Olèrdola go back to an old watchtower that controlled the passage between the Garraf massif and the Penedès. From the town you can enjoy exceptional views of the vineyard fields. There are also many routes that go through neighboring towns such as Moja or Sant Pere Molanta. We recommend that you do the Rossend Montané route, an itinerary that goes along an old road and crosses many of the area's wineries.
One of the most important elements of Olèrdola is its castle and the complex that surrounds it. From its location you can enjoy magnificent views of Vilafranca and the Garraf. Visiting the complex you will discover the history of Penedes from four thousand years ago to the Middle Ages. Some of the most relevant elements of the complex are the Roman wall and cistern or the church of Sant Miquel which dates from the year 929.
Olèrdola has a long winemaking tradition. In fact, many centuries ago the Torres family began to develop their activity on a plot of land. This whole tradition is still very much alive. You can take advantage of your stay to visit one of the wineries throughout the municipality. Some of the best known are Caves Hill in Moja, Finca Viladellops or the Finca Valldosera and Torreblanca farmhouses. At the end of the visit you can taste some of the local cavas.
