Menàrguens received its charter in 1163. In the 15th century it passed into the hands of the Poblet monastery until the 18th century. The town has a very rich industrial heritage. The old La Sucrera del Segre factory building and its chimney stand out. You must also see the Casa Gran, a five-story building where the factory managers stayed.

Visit the most interesting monuments

Walking through the center of Menàrgens you can see places of great interest. One of the most emblematic buildings is the parish church of Sant Vicenç, a Gothic construction with ogival windows. Inside you can see a baroque altarpiece of great value. In the main street there are medieval porticos. We also recommend that you visit the sanctuary of Our Lady of the Cross.
