The first written references to Lladurs are from the 9th century. During the 16th century, it was the scene of the phenomenon of banditry due to the fact that there were isolated farms and their forests were a good hiding place. Walking around the municipal area you will see abandoned farmhouses that are a clear vestige of the medieval past of this town.
Lladurs is a municipality that preserves a rich historical heritage. One of the most famous buildings in the town is its castle. It dates from the year 1000 and was a very prominent fortress. Although at present only elements from different construction stages remain, from its location you can enjoy unbeatable views of the Solsonès. Don't forget to visit the parish church of Santa Maria or the temples of Santa Eulàlia de Timoneda and Sant Sadurní de Llena, both from the 12th century and in Romanesque style.
The orography of Lladurs is marked by the passage of the Ribera Salada river. In the area of the Clop bridge you will find transparent and calm waters that are widely used for swimming in the summer. On the other hand, hiking routes also pass through this place that reach places such as the summit of Cap d'Estaques or the Pont d'Afrau, an engineering work dating from the 18th century.
