The origins of the municipality are linked to the watchtower that was built very close to the castle of La Pobla de Claramunt in the 11th century. Folk customs and traditions are deeply rooted. The Winter Festival stands out, where many activities are organized for both adults and scoundrels. Medieval fairs are also held throughout the year in which scenes from the time are recreated with performances by troubadours
Being located in the lower valley of the riera de Carme, la Torre de Claramunt is very close to the river d'Agost. This means that much of the municipal territory is occupied by pine, oak or oak forests. Around the stream you will be able to see natural corners of great interest as well as unique flora and fauna.
La Torre de Claramunt has a long historical tradition. Walking around the center of the town you will see narrow, cobbled streets as well as rustic houses that maintain medieval coats of arms. We recommend that you approach the castle, a building dating from the 12th century. Also of great interest is the Romanesque church of Sant Salvador, which is in a very good state of conservation. Near Camaró there are the remains of an ancient Iberian town.
