What can you do in Juncosa and its Holiday cottages?

The Poblet monastery acquired the Juncosa in 1224. It was under the domain of the monastery until the fall of the Old Regime. Parts of the walls that surrounded the town and date from the 14th century are still preserved. We recommend that you visit the town during the Oil Fair that is organized at the beginning of December and where there is a display of local oils and artisanal products.

Discover its history

Walking through the center of the town you will see a group of buildings of great historical value. One of the best known is the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady. It was built in the 18th century and combines different architectural styles. The building is divided into three naves and houses a replica of an altarpiece that was destroyed in 1936. Also very interesting is the water tank, which dates from 1897. The old tank has two rectangular naves and their roofs are made by four point vaults.

Juncosa has a natural environment that invites you to do many outdoor activities. If you want to practice climbing you can approach the Juncosa cave. In this place you can scale in blocks. The climbing lines are of a high degree of difficulty, which means that many world figures have passed through this area.
