What can you do in Foradada and its Holiday cottages?

The first written document of Foradada is from the 10th century in the midst of a campaign of reconquest. Its natural surroundings invite you to plan excursions to see places like the Montsec mountain range or the Segre River Pass. In addition, there is an important network of paths that can be done on foot or by mountain bike. Its gastronomy based on local dishes and traditional Catalan cuisine is also well known.

Visit the castle of Montsonís

In the urban center of La Foradada is one of the most emblematic buildings, specifically Montsonís Castle. It is located on a hill 405 meters high. In its beginnings the entire site was walled. Of this construction, its good state of conservation and its two-storey circular tower from the 11th century stand out. Very close to the castle is the parish church of Santa Maria, a building from 1677 that has a baroque-neoclassical style. We also recommend that you visit the parish church of Sant Josep or the Town Hall, which has a modernist facade.

La Foradada cliff, a unique place

Another of the most attractive elements of the town is the Foradada rock. It stands out for having a large hole in the middle. Next to the cliff is the viewpoint of Sant Urbà, a place from which you can enjoy good views of the plain.
