What can you do in Copons and its Holiday cottages?

Although signs of a Roman presence have been found, the first written documents of Copons are from the 10th century. The figure of the mill stands out, due to the fact that there was a paper, flour or plaster industry in the town. You cannot leave Copons without having a medieval meal in some of its restaurants. We recommend that you try dishes such as stewed snails, porrada stew or fig burnia. The Festa dels Traginers is worth experiencing, an event in which this 17th century trade is revived.

Do the Molí de la Roda route

Copons has a natural environment that invites you to go on excursions with the family. One of the best known itineraries is the Molí de la Roda route. It can be done by mountain bike and passes through places such as Sant Martí Sesgueioles, the Viudes ridge or the Riera Gran valley. Its duration is about four hours or the orography of the land allows it to be done with the whole family.

Visit the most emblematic buildings

Copons has a set of buildings of great interest. One of the best known is the Plaça Major porchada, a space with more than five centuries of history and which was the market place. Going around the streets of the Mur and the Castle you will see houses with blazoned gables. The best known are Casa Lacambra or Cal Poldo. Be sure to visit the parish church of Santa Maria, a building from 1754 that has a neoclassical style and houses important altarpieces.
