The first written documents in which reference is made to Clariana de Cardener are from the 11th century. During part of its history it was under the rule of the Viscounts of Cardona. Visit its historical heritage

Throughout the territory of Clariana de Cardener you can see different monuments and buildings of great historical value. One of the most important is the castle. It is located on a small hill and today the walls and the square tower remain. Very close, the remains of the old parish of Sant Serni are preserved, from where you can enjoy magnificent views. On the edge of the Cardener river is the Buida-sacs mill, a construction dating from the 12th century. You should also visit the hermitage of Santa Àgata, a single-nave building that dates from the 10th century.
