The first references to Centelles are from the year 898. Its streets are full of magic and poetry. Walking through its historic center you can see portals from the 16th century or buildings such as Cal Comte, a stately home from 1530. Another very interesting building is the parish church of Centelles which was built in 1704.

If you like cheese you must visit the Molí de la Llavina. It is a construction from the year 1400 that currently manufactures curds and traditional cheeses such as Osona blue or mature garrotxa.

If you want to see a Catalan farmhouse from the 18th century, you must see the Cerdà farmhouse. It is a construction that is surrounded by masoveries and it was where the architect Ildefons Cerdà, designer of the Eixample district of Barcelona city, was born.

Traditions are deeply rooted in Centelles. One of the best known is the Festa del Pi . It is a pagan festival that is linked to the winter solstice and in which the neighbors mark a pine tree from the forest and cut it down on the day of Santa Coloma. Later, they take it to the town and hang it upside down on the altar of the church until Epiphany. Another well-known party is the witches' lair. It is celebrated a week before Carnival and magic rituals are performed by the witches and wizards of Centelles.
