What can you do in Castellolí and its Holiday cottages?

The first written documents that refer to the town are from the year 961. During part of its history it belonged to families such as the Bell-lloc or the Cardona. Walking around the entire municipal area, you will find some of the more than 150 dry stone and masonry huts that were built between the 18th and 19th centuries before the phylloxera arrived. There are several itineraries such as the red route and the blue route that allow you to visit them.

Castellolí Castle, a singular building

Located on top of a hill, Castellolí Castle is one of the most popular buildings in the municipality. It is documented from the year 1003 and had the function of defending the lands that were located on the left bank of the Llobregat river. Of the old building, remains of barrel vaults and walls as well as a late quadrangular tower are currently preserved.

Enjoy the traditional festivities

Throughout the year, Castellolí holds festive events that are very popular among the villagers. One of the most well-known events is the Mid-Lent Candy festival. It is an event that brings together children and young people from the village and is celebrated on the third Wednesday of Lent. During the party the rascal is divided into groups that dedicate themselves to capturing and singing throughout the village.
