The first historical documents about Calldetenes are from the year 949. At first it was called Sant Martí de Riudeperes until it changed to its current name in 1960. Discover its historical heritage

Calldetenes has an important historical heritage. Many of its buildings come from the Romanesque period and are in a very good state of conservation. One of the best known is Can Tona, a Catalan farmhouse dating from the 14th century. It stands out because Jacint Verdaguer wrote L'Atlantida in it in 1867.
