Discover its historic center

The beginnings of Alcover go back to the year 1166 with the creation of its settlement charter. However, signs of human activity from the Paleolithic era have been found. The town center is of medieval origin and combines buildings of different architectural styles. One of the most well-known is the Vella or de la Sang church, which belongs to the Romanesque style. You can also visit the convent of Santa Anna which has a Renaissance style.

To preserve and spread the value of all this heritage, the Municipal Museum of Alcover was founded. In addition, in its facilities you can see a collection of fossil remains that come from the Triassic.
