Can Varilla is a restored rural house
located in the center of the small village of Riudaura, in the heart of Garrotxa, just 10 minutes from the city center of Olot. An ideal location for those seeking
quiet and tranquility in a rural setting, but with all the services and some of the most iconic natural sites of the
Garrotxa volcanic area —such as the Fageda d’en Jordà (beech forest) and the volcanoes of Santa Margarida and el Croscat— nearby.
The house has
5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, and 2 fully equipped kitchens distributed over 4 floors connected by a
stone interior staircase with a certain degree of inclination and irregularity. These stairs preserve the original charm of the house and are part of its historical character, but they might be uncomfortable for people with reduced mobility.
On the
ground floor there is a
garden with a swimming pool, a
barbecue area with an outdoor table, a
toilet, and a
fully equipped kitchen designed for maximum comfort and convenience during the hottest days.
The main entrance from the street is on the
first floor, where there is a
living room with television, a
laundry area (with a washing machine and dryer), and a
jacuzzi room with a bathroom and three showers.
On the
second floor, a hall dominated by a
foosball that leads to
3 double bedrooms and a shared
bathroom.
The
third floor hosts another
living room with television,
2 more double bedrooms, another
bathroom, and a cozy
living-dining room with fireplace and a second
fully equipped kitchen, perfect for the winter.
