What can you do in Vilanova de Meià and its Holiday cottages?

One of the main attractions of Vilanova de Meià is that it still retains its medieval profile. Walking around the historic center you will see parts of the fortified wall of the Carlana or fragments of the defense towers. You should also visit the church of Sant Salvador, an 11th century building that also has Gothic elements. If you want to do routes, you will find trails of great scenic interest throughout the territory. Visit the Cogulló cave

One of the most interesting places, both geologically and archaeologically, is the Cogulló cave, also known as the Macià cave. Inside you can see a group of cave paintings from the Bronze Age. These paintings stand out for abandoning the naturalism typical of the Neolithic and having much more abstract forms. In 1998 they were declared World Heritage by Unesco.

On the other hand, local producers take the opportunity to publicize their products such as cheeses, homemade liqueurs, sausages, honey, oils, among others. In the past, it was known as the Sant Martí fair and used to offer winter clothing.
