What can you do in Tiurana and its Holiday cottages?

Although the toponym of Tiurana could be related to Tiberius. However, no documents have been found confirming the presence of the village until the twelfth century. If you approach the Town Hall you will see a permanent photographic exhibition explaining both the past and the present of the municipality. Fairs and cultural events of great interest are organized throughout the year. One of the most popular is the Aeronautical Concentration, an activity in which ultralight flights are made. Walking through the streets of Tiurana you can see buildings of great historical value. The parish church of Sant Pere Apostol, dating from the 16th century, stands out. Close by is a medieval sarcophagus dating from the 13th century. In the main street is the Portal de la Creu, which marked the limit of the old closed town. On the other hand, the Trades Museum has an exhibition of tools that were used in the past in agriculture.

Tiurana is very close to the Rialb swamp.
