Sorry, but we don't have any accommodation near Talarn
The beginnings of Talarn go back to the 6th century BC when the Celts built a fortification in the area. However, the first written documents of the town date from 1060. During the summer, organ concerts are organized throughout its territory with musicians from all over the world. Be sure to try its cuisine based on typical dishes of the area.
Within the territory of Talarn is the reservoir of Sant Antoni. This place is perfect for practicing nautical spots such as canoeing, water skiing or sailing. On the other hand, around the swamp, there are also trails and paths where you can take walks or cycle routes.
One of the main attractions of Talarn is that it retains much of its medieval structure from the 17th century, such as the two towers of the old wall. Walking through its narrow cobbled streets you will see houses of the old nobility. One of the most relevant is the house of the baron of Eroles. Another very interesting building is the Romanesque church of Sant Martí, an 11th century building that was renovated in the 17th century. During the Civil War the altar and the original baroque altarpiece were destroyed. A baroque organ dating from the 18th century is preserved inside.
