Archaeological remains dating back to the Neolithic period have been found. During the Middle Ages, houses began to be built around the church, which would become the center of the population. Vine cultivation was one of the main economic activities of Sant Quirze del Vallès. Walking along its paths you will see farmhouses such as Can Feliu or Can Barra that still carry out this activity. In the Casa de Cultura Vila-Puig you can see the work of the painter Joan Vila-Puig as well as many of his personal objects.
Modernism has left a big mark on Sant Quirze del Vallès. The Patronal building was built in 1922 and was a meeting point for the inhabitants of Sant Quirze. Currently, it is a cultural center where exhibitions and concerts are held. Another modernist building is the Celler Agrícola. It was built in 1927 and used to organize plays or popular dances.
Along the streets of Sant Quirze del Vallès you will find several churches that have great heritage value. One of the best known is that of Sant Feliuet de Vilamilans. It is a pre-Romanesque temple with a single nave. Inside there is a Paleo-Christian marble altar with Latin inscriptions. You must also see the parish of Sant Quirze and Santa Júlia. It was consecrated in 1050 and was owned by the Monastery of Sant Cugat.
