Sorry, but we don't have any accommodation near Salardú
Salardú occupies a strategic location in the Vall d'Aran. This caused it to be a fortified town in the medieval period. Some remains of the old castle are preserved near the church. Walking through the town center you will discover some houses that still have 17th century windows.
Another of Salardú's attractions is its gastronomy. In its restaurants you can try dishes based on game and fresh fish such as trout. Wild fruits, cheeses or pâtés also stand out. You can't leave without trying one of the typical dishes of the area, specifically the Aranese pot.
One of the most important historical buildings in Salardú is the church of Sant Andreu. Inside it houses the Christ of Salardú, a work of great value in the Aran Valley. The bell tower of the church has two floors and was built in the 15th century.
The natural environment of Salardú stands out for its mountainous orography. You can take hiking routes that cross lush forests and that allow you to see some of the lakes that are part of the territory of Salardú. You can also go on a mountain bike tour with the family.
