Sorry, but we don't have any accommodation near Ribera de Cardós
One of the main attractions of Ribera de Cardós is that it retains a traditional image of a Pyrenean village. Walking through its historic center you will see stone houses from the medieval period. In the center of the town you can visit an exhibition hall in which there is a miniature architectural display of its traditional buildings.
Ribera de Cardós stands out for preserving an important Romanesque heritage. One of the town's most emblematic buildings is the church of Santa Maria, a building that dates from the 10th century and has a square bell tower. Another very interesting construction is the Cassigrós bridge, a stone bridge built over the Noguera de Cardós. In the center of the town you can see the terme cross, a 15th century cross that was at the entrance to the Vall de Cardós.
This is a very interesting route that you can do on foot and that allows you to learn a little about the history of Ribera de Cardós after the Spanish Civil War. In fact, the events that happened between 1938 and 1945 are recounted, while you can visit four bunkers that were built by Franco's troops to protect themselves from an eventual French attack.
