What can you do in Preixana and its Holiday cottages?

Remains of Iberian villages have been found in the tossal of Sitjar. In the past, the town was also well known for the skill of its stonemasons. Another attraction of this municipality is its gastronomy. Every year the De Prop fair is held, where there is a display of agri-food products from the area. A place worth visiting is the Mare de Déu de Montalbà park, from where you can enjoy magnificent views. Inside the park, the funerary stelae and tombstones made by the old stonemasons stand out.

Discover a unique natural environment

Around Preixana you will see many natural spaces that invite you to plan excursions with the family. One of the most relevant is the Secans de Belaines - Preixana nature reserve. Here you will find a dryland landscape with numerous paths and trails that you can do both on foot and by bike. If you like ornithology, during the journey you can glimpse steppe birds and carrion birds.

Visit its cultural heritage

Preixana has an important architectural heritage. In one of the highest areas of the town is the parish church of Santa Maria. It is a 15th century building that has a late Gothic style. From its location you can enjoy good views of the town. Be sure to visit the chapel of Sant Llorenç which, although it dates from before the 15th century, was rebuilt in the 16th century.
