Navarcles is a small town located on the banks of the Llobregat and crossing point of the Calders River. Its abundance of water resources means that there are many springs throughout the territory. Some of the best known are the Lleó, the Font Nova or the Sobreexidor.

The Lake Park, a unique natural space

Navarcles has green spaces of great interest. One of the most popular in the town is Parc del Llac. The lake in the park is an artificial reservoir that comes from the Calders River. Throughout the park there are numerous species of trees that generate a feeling of freshness and nature. In the park there are also trails that allow you to discover the most outstanding corners. During the summer months you can have dinner at the Cabana del Llac.

Visit the monastery of Sant Benet

One of the most emblematic Romanesque buildings in Navarcles is the monastery of Sant Benet. It was built in the 10th century, although its cloister was built in the 12th century. During the 17th century it passed into the hands of the monastery of Montserrat and at the beginning of the 19th century it welcomed the monks who came to spend the last years of their lives. Later, it was abandoned and from 2007 reform works were carried out as well as spaces for conventions and meetings.
