Discover its Romanesque heritage

La Naut d'Aran has an important Romanesque heritage. One of the most important buildings is the church of Santa Maria. It is considered a benchmark of Aranese Romanesque architecture and has been declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest. The building, which dates from the 12th century, is a plant with three naves. Its five-story bell tower was built in the 14th century and combines Romanesque and Gothic styles. You must also visit the church of Sant Andreu. It dates from the 13th century and inside there is a Romanesque carving of Christ of great historical value.

Visit its lakes of glacial origin

Inside Naut d'Aran you can find the sources of the Garona river and the Noguera Pallaresa. This means that the municipality has a great abundance of water resources. Don't forget to plan an excursion to visit one of the glacial lakes that exist throughout its territory. Some of the most prominent are Lake Mar, El Rius, El Montoliu or Ratera de Colomers. All are surrounded by lush vegetation and have crystal clear waters.
