What can you do in Montgai and its Holiday cottages?

Montgai Castle passed into Christian hands in 1050 during the reconquest campaign. During the Spanish Civil War the republican troops built bunkers and trenches that can now be visited. The topography of the town is very good, which allows you to practice hiking along some of the marked routes. One of the most well-known routes is the Water Route that passes through the Sió river bed and allows you to enjoy a unique landscape.

Enjoy their fairs

Numerous festivals and fairs are held in Montgai throughout the year. One of the best known is the Fira del Sabó. It is an event in which activities are organized around the soap such as workshops, exhibitions, technical talks or music shows. Don't forget to visit the Montgai Màgic, a festival in which magicians gather to give demonstrations in one of the prepared scenarios. If you like the motor, you can visit the Circuit del Cluet where you can practice motocross.

Visit the church of Our Lady of the Assumption

Montgai has many buildings of great interest. The church of Our Lady of the Assumption is a must-see. It is a Baroque-style building with the tallest bell tower in the whole region. Its portal also stands out. The church is in the historic center which has a medieval character. Very close to the church are the remains of the castle.
