Les Valls d'Aguilar is a municipality that was created in 1972 as the result of the union of different towns. Nevertheless, remains of prehistoric funerary monuments have been found in its territory. Walking along its paths you will be able to see megalithic constructions such as the dolmen of Biscarbó or a menhir on the Camí de Castellàs.

Do the Via Romanica

Les Valls d'Aguilar is located on a route that crosses different municipalities that have Romanesque buildings. Some of the most relevant churches in the town are that of Santa Elena de Trejuvell which dates from the 11th century or that of Sant Esteve de la Guàrdia which dates from the year 1004. On the other hand, you can also visit one of its Romanesque hermitages . The most well-known are that of Santa Maria de Castellàs or that of Sant Martí de Berén.

The natural landscape of les Valls d'Aguilar stands out for its great beauty. Walking through its territory you will find a forest that groups together a hundred oak trees that are more than five hundred years old. If you approach the Sierra de Boumort you will see many paths where you can find a great diversity of flora and also a unique fauna such as deer, vultures, falcons, roe deer among others.
