Holiday cottages in la Vilella Alta

Although it is a small municipality, Vilella Alta offers you places of great interest. One of the best known is the area around the Vella fountain. In the past, it was the point that served to supply water to the inhabitants of the town. Today, it has a recreation area and preserves part of an old fortification.

Another place of interest is the Molí Nou de la Vinícola del Priorat. Its facilities were inaugurated in 1987. It is dedicated to the manufacture of extra virgin olive oil and gathers the production of the old mills in the area.

This winery was founded in 1999 and is dedicated to the production of DO Priorat wines. The extension of its vineyards is 35 hectares and indigenous grape varieties are grown. During the visit to the winery you will be able to see what the entire winemaking process looks like while visiting the vineyards. In addition, you can taste some of their products.

If you walk through the town center you will see that its streets still maintain their typical structure from centuries ago. One of the best-known streets is Carrer Major, where you can see stone portals. One of the best known buildings is the parish church of Santa Llúcia. It was built at the end of the 18th century and combines neoclassical and baroque.
