The first written documents that refer to the town are from the 10th century. In the past it was known by the toponym of Isogal. Stroll through the historic center

Walking around the streets of Isòvol you will see houses with stone facades and typical mountain architecture. We recommend that you visit the Romanesque church of Santa Maria d'All. It is a building that has a large portal and a bell tower with a square base. Very close is the church of Sant Miquel, a neo-Romanesque construction with a single nave. Be sure to see the sanctuary of Santa Maria d'Isòvol, a building that combines the Baroque and Romanesque styles. On the outskirts of the village is the Devil's Bridge, a medieval bridge that is undergoing restoration.
