Sorry, but we don't have any accommodation near Gessa
One of the main attractions of Gessa is that it retains a distinctly medieval image. Its location allows you to do all kinds of outdoor activities. In addition, in its restaurants you can taste gastronomy based on traditional Aranese and Catalan dishes.
Gessa has an important set of historic buildings. One of the most emblematic is the church of Sant Pèir. It was built during the 17th century and has a Romanesque chapel dating from the 12th century. The floor of the building is rectangular and has three chapels on the sides. On the other hand, there is a Baroque altar and a Romanesque-style baptismal font.
On the outskirts of the village you can find a trail that takes you to the ravine of Corilha. From here you can access one of the town's most emblematic buildings, specifically the hermitage of Sant Martí de Corilha. It is hanging from a cliff at an altitude of 1880 meters. In fact, precisely at the point where it is attached to the rock, a small grotto opens where you will find the altar. According to the old legends, this hermitage was built in honor of Sant Martí de Tours in order to free the town from the storms it suffered.
