Sorry, but we don't have any accommodation near Escunhau
The history of Escunhau dates back to the Middle Ages. One of the most important buildings in the town is the Cò de Perejoan, a construction that dates back to the year 1393. From the center of the town there are itineraries for walking or cycling that go into its forests. We recommend that you go as far as Lake Escunhau, a place of great beauty where you will see crystal clear waters.
Like many towns in the Vall d'Aran, Escunhau also has a Romanesque church. It is the church of Sant Pere that dates from the 12th century. Its door has a wide variety of ornaments. Throughout its history it has been reformed several times. The works that were carried out in the 16th century and in which its bell tower was built stand out. Its baptismal font was built between the 12th and 13th centuries and has a Romanesque style.
Escunhau still preserves a large part of its medieval core. Walking through its narrow streets, you will see houses with stone facades. The town is part of a medieval route that crosses some of the main towns in the region such as Vielha e Mijaran and which allows you to discover a large part of this historical heritage.
