Els Torms passed into the hands of the Poblet monastery in 1224. The cultivation of olive trees and the production of oil is one of its main economic activities. Els Torms has a set of buildings that are full of history. One of the most emblematic buildings is the church of Sant Joan Baptista. It is an 18th-century building with a Baroque-style facade and a three-part bell tower. Walking through the historic center you will be able to see parts of the old wall and an access portal. You must visit Cal Batlle Vell, a 12th century house that preserves Arab remains.
