What can you do in el Vilosell and its Holiday cottages?

The first documents in which the Vilosell appears are from the 11th century. Agriculture is one of its main economic activities. The crops of cereals, almond trees and vineyards stand out. Precisely in one of the village cooperatives, wines with the DO Les Garrigues are made. In the month of May, a very popular gathering is held in the hermitage of Sant Miquel de la Tosca.

Visit its religious heritage

Vilosell stands out for preserving a large part of its religious heritage. The parish church of Santa Maria stands out, a baroque one-nave building with a chapel dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament and a baptistery. Also of great interest is the Gothic cross that is in front of the hermitage of Sant Sebastià and dates from the 14th century. Be sure to visit the Sant Miquel de la Tosca sanctuary, an 18th century Baroque building.

Take a hiking route

The surroundings of the Vilosell invite you to take walks while discovering a unique flora and fauna. One of the most popular routes is the Ruta de les cabanes de volta, an itinerary that passes through dry stone constructions distributed throughout the territory. If you want to do a more intense sporting activity, we recommend the Race between Vineyards run by the Tomàs Cusiné winery, a circuit consisting of three athletic races.
