What can you do in el Soleràs and its Holiday cottages?

The Soleràs was conquered by Ramon Berenguer in 1149. One of the most recommended places to visit is the Sanctuaries. It is a space that offers an exceptional view of the whole town and the plain of Lleida. You will also be able to see three hermitages. The oldest is from 1954 and is dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The second is from 1988 and is a replica of the Grotto of Lourdes. The third is from 1993 and is dedicated to Our Lady of Montserrat.

Visit the Agricultural Cooperative

The oil culture is deeply rooted in the Soleras. One of the most relevant buildings is the headquarters of the Agricultural Cooperative. It was built by the architect Cèsar Martinell, author who has created numerous agricultural cooperatives. During the visit you will be able to see a projection of a video in which it is explained how the cultivation of the olive tree is. At the end of the visit you can buy oils, almonds and other local products.

Experience the Festival of Oil and Holy Week

Throughout the year, numerous popular events are organized in Soleràs. One of the best known is the Oil Festival. It is a day in which the Cooperative opens its doors and gives guided tours. Oil tastings and a breakfast are also organized. Likewise, Holy Week or the Feast of the Hermitage, where a mass and a popular lunch are celebrated, is very relevant.
