The municipality where to find your holiday cottage
The municipality as we know it in the Conca de Dalt was formed in 1969 with the union of 4 former independent municipalities : Aramunt, Claverol, Hortoneda de la Conca and Toralla and Serradell . For this reason, each of the twelve towns that today make up the Conca de Dalt has its own history, which goes back at least to the Middle Ages .
What can you visit around your holiday cottage?
It is highly advisable to visit the different population centers that make up the municipality and let yourself be surprised by the presents in each of them.
Another noteworthy aspect of the municipality are the vestiges of the bloody battles that took place during the Civil War , of which trenches and bunkers have survived that can be visited, as well as a bauma that had been used to store ammunition.
Escape to Aramunt from your holiday cottage
Aramunt has the only working oil mill in the entire municipality and the old town of Aramunt Vell , located at the top of the hill where the tower of the medieval castle and the Romanesque hermitage of Santa Maria stand out.
Enter Claverol
Claverol preserves a medieval urban structure and preserves the walls and the watchtower of the castle . You can also visit the old church of Sant Esteve , built between the 11th and 18th centuries.

Visit Hortoneda
In Hortoneda there are the remains of the old castle called Santa Roca and the Perauba Tower , both located on the outskirts on top of a hill. You can also visit the Romanesque church of Santa Maria , although it has undergone numerous transformations.
Don't forget Personada
Personada preserves some of the elements of the old enclosed town , such as the layout of the streets and the long sections in which the houses make up what used to be the enclosure. It also preserves the presence of the Aramunt portal , through which the path that led to the neighboring town exits. In the center of the village, inserted in the middle of the houses, stands out the church of Santa Maria de Pessonada.
To the north of the town, about 450 meters away, there is the Romanesque hermitage of Our Lady of the Plana . From this hermitage, a Romanesque image of the Mother of God is preserved in a private house in the town and two Romanesque paintings that are currently in the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum.
Don't miss Rivert
The town of Rivert, with a strong medieval character, is made up of two neighborhoods; one to the west, where most of the houses are, the old parish church of Sant Martí , the cemetery and the Hermitage of the Mother of God , which was the former chapel of the vanished Rivert Castle and the other neighborhood of east, on the other side of the stream, where there is " lo barri ", smaller than the main nucleus.
A must visit is the old Rivert mill , which preserves part of the original machinery.
The medieval air of Sant Martí de Canals
Let yourself be enveloped by the medieval imprint of Sant Martí de Canals, especially in its main street and the church of Sant Martí , a large building of Romanesque and Gothic style with a doorway with a semi-domed arcade.
