An obligatory place to visit is the stream of Tordell or D'Argençola, a space surrounded by centuries-old trees. Along the way you will see Romanesque churches such as Santa Margarida de Viladepost or Santa Eulàlia d'Argençola. If you like animals, there is an ostrich farm just outside the village. You can visit their facilities to learn about the customs and characteristics of these animals.
Castellnou de Bages has had intense guerrilla activity. The GR-179 passes through the municipality. This route is also known as the Maquis Route and was used by characters such as Ramon Vila or Marcel-lí Massana. The route is 61 kilometers long and starts at the Queralt Sanctuary. We also propose an alternative route known as Camins de la Guerrilla. It has an extension of twelve kilometers and passes through the most significant places of the maqui movement. Be sure to visit the Maquis Museum, a space where you can learn more about the history of this guerrilla movement.
Castellnou de Bages is a town with a long historical tradition. Throughout its territory there are scattered old farmhouses, a clear vestige of its rural past. The old rectory currently houses the municipal cemetery. It is also worth visiting the church of Sant Andreu, a Romanesque building dating from the 11th century.
