What can you do in Bellaguarda and its Holiday cottages?

The name Bellaguarda comes from the Muslim era when there was a watchtower where Carrer Major is now. During part of its history it was part of the barony of Granadella. Throughout the municipality you will find many paths and trails that cross places of great interest. We recommend that you take the route that goes to the Parc Eòlic de les Rotes. It is also interesting to see the flowering of the almond trees in April.

Stroll along Carrer Major

One of the main attractions of Bellaguarda is its historic center. Walking around its streets you will be able to see buildings of great interest such as the church that is dedicated to Sant Antoni Abat. The building has three naves, a viewpoint and an old cross. On the other hand, in Carrer Ball i Pou you will find stone houses with coats of arms from the 18th century.

Visit the Cooperative

Bellaguarda's economy is agricultural with a clear predominance of olive, cereal and grape crops. However, the oil production of the village is also very relevant. If you visit the Cooperative, you will be able to see first-hand what the entire oil manufacturing process looks like. Its building was built in 1921 and is of great architectural interest. At the end of the visit you will be able to taste some of the oils that are made there and that have won numerous prizes in fairs and competitions.
