Archaeological remains have been found that demonstrate human presence in the 1st century. Christian repopulation began in the 9th century. Some of the places worth visiting in the town are the Colomer spring, a space full of vegetation, the Ibero-Roman site of Matacans or the Mas Pujol oak, declared a monumental tree.

Visit their wineries

The wine industry is deeply rooted in Artés. In its territory you will find several cooperatives that are responsible for the production of wines and cavas. The best known are the Celler Solergibert and the Gibert cellars. You can visit their facilities and discover what the entire wine and cavas production process is like. On the other hand, at the end of the visit you can taste wines with the DO Pla de Bages. Don't miss the Bages Harvest Festival. An event dedicated to wine culture where meals, dances and theatrical performances are organized.

Take a hiking route

The natural surroundings of Artés invite you to go on excursions with the whole family. From the center of the village, many paths lead through lush forests and fields of cereals and vineyards. If you want to go hiking, you can take the PR-C 135 trail, which is also known as the Artés route. During this route you will pass many places of interest.
