Sorry, but we don't have any accommodation near Arró
The first written documents of Arró date back to the 13th century. In the past, the town was known by different toponyms such as Raor, Ror or Ro. The historic center of the town is made up of houses that have large dimensions, but still retain the appearance of the 19th century, so you will have the feeling that you are taking a trip back in time. Passing the Garona river allows you to take a walk along its banks and enjoy a unique river landscape.
Although Arró is a small municipality, its cultural heritage is very important. One of the most relevant buildings is the church of Sant Martí. It was built in the 12th century and combines Romanesque architecture with a late Gothic style. Throughout its history it has been reformed several times, such as in the 18th century when a sacristy was built. During the 17th century, an altarpiece was made in Sant Martí, which is located in the main chapel.
Many Romanesque churches are preserved in the Vall d'Aran. From Arró there are several routes that you can do on foot or by bike and that cross towns such as Benós, Vilamós or Begós. One of the main attractions of this route is that while you discover a unique Romanesque heritage in the region, you can enjoy splendid views of the Vall d'Aran and the Garonna River.
