What can you do in Alp and its Holiday cottages?

Around the term you can see prehistoric elements such as the Pavorda dolmen. The different fountains in the town are worth visiting. The best known are Sant Isidre, La Guia or La Reina. Popular culture is deeply rooted in Alp. Throughout the year, different fairs are organized that have great prestige in the region, such as the gastronomic exhibition held in September where you can taste many local products. In April there is an antiques fair where exhibitors from all over the territory sell.

Discover its Romanesque heritage

The Romanesque style has left a clear mark on Alp. One of the best known buildings is the church of Sant Pere. During the 12th century it was used as a castle and in the 14th century it was rebuilt. His paintings of Sant Cristófol stand out. Also of great interest is the monastery of Sant Esteve and Sant Hilari d'Umfred which dates from the 9th century. Very close to the river Alp there is an old fortified tower and the chapel of the Divine Shepherdess.

Do activities in nature

Alp offers you a wide range of activities throughout the year. In winter you can approach the ski resorts of La Molina or La Masella and practice skiing. During the rest of the year you can go on horseback or itineraries on foot through the forests in the area. We recommend that you do the itinerary that goes from Alp to Coll de Pal. It is also interesting to make an ascent to la tossa d'Alp and enjoy its views.
