What can you do in Alins and its Holiday cottages?

The first written documents that mention the town of Alins are from the 9th century. Walking through its narrow streets you will see stone houses that maintain the typical mountain architecture. If you visit the ski resort of Virós-Vallferrera you can do activities such as mountain skiing or snowmobile routes. On the other hand, if you have experience in mountaineering you can climb the Pica d'Estats, a 3143 meter peak that is the highest in Catalunya.

Walking through Alins you can see a Romanesque urban complex of great beauty. We recommend that you visit the church of Sant Esteve and Sant Francesc, which is the oldest in Pallars. Very close to the center the hermitage of Santes Creus de Buiro. Another relevant building is the parish of Sant Climent. The bell tower and its licorella roof with an image of Our Lady of the Tower stand out.

Take a trip to the Ferrera Valley

One of the most beautiful places in Alins is the Farrera Valley. You have many hiking trails available that cross lush forests and where you will see old fences used by ranchers to protect their cattle. We recommend that you go into the forest of Virós, from where you can access the summits of Cubil and la Mànega and enjoy exceptional views.
