Agriculture is the main economic activity of Aguilar de Segarra. Dry crops of potatoes, legumes or wheat stand out. Throughout its territory you will see old farmhouses and chapels of Romanesque or Gothic origin, a clear vestige of the town's medieval past. One of the most popular traditions is celebrated at Easter, when a group of candy makers pass through the houses of the village singing and dancing. For Sant Miquel, the panellet festival is celebrated in the hermitage, an event in which buns are blessed and given to attendees to taste.
Although it is a small municipality, Aguilar de Segarra has an important architectural heritage. One of the most emblematic buildings is the castle. It is a 9th century building that is currently being restored. Its function was to defend the farmers from possible attacks. Other buildings of great interest are the chapel of Sant Miquel or the church of Sant Andreu.
The natural environment of Aguilar de Segarra is one of its main attractions. From the center of the town , different paths and trails lead into places with abundant vegetation. The white pine forests stand out in particular. The term is also crossed by small streams where you can enjoy a river landscape of great beauty.
