Can Fort is the
ancestral home of the Fort family, a family with over 7 centuries of history that has reached the 27th generation. This generation has restored the house that dates back to the early 16th century and has managed to maintain the essence and the original materials. The house has
spacious common rooms and large outdoor spaces with a private garden and swimming pool.
The house has a capacity for
16 people and is divided into 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms (one of them with a hydro-massage bathtub). At the main entrance of the house, on the ground floor, there is a large room with
spectacular vaults presided over by a billiard and table football. From this room, going up the stairs, you reach the first floor where there are
two living rooms with sofas, TV and DVD (one of them with fireplace), two bathrooms and 5 bedrooms: two bedrooms with double bed and bathroom, two bedrooms with two single beds and bathroom and one bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. Following the wide corridor, we arrive at a
large fully equipped kitchen in which 3 different spaces are marked out, the kitchen, the area with the dining table and the cosy corner with the fireplace. This kitchen gives access to the
spectacular covered terrace which was previously used to dry the wheat and nowadays there is a space to eat in group and enjoy the
impressive panoramic views of the surroundings.
From the kitchen, going down some stairs, there is another triple bedroom (with a double bed and a single bed). From these same stairs, going downstairs, you reach the room with the ping-pong table and the access to the outside barbecue area.
The garden and barbecue area can also be accessed from the street, through the iron gate in front of the main entrance.
The property has
a large outdoor space with different environments: a large garden with
swimming pool (protected with a fence), a play area with football goal and volleyball net, and a terrace with barbecue. Above the swimming pool, there is a small terrace with a rest area.
In 2023, it won the prize for the best tourist accommodation with a history at the
Girona Town and Holiday Apartment Awards .
