Cal Pep

Enjoy peace and quiet in a rural setting

Cal Pep is a completely renovated townhouse located in the small hamlet of l'Esparra, within the municipality of Riudarenes (La Selva), ideal for enjoying tranquility in a rural setting, just 30 minutes away from the beaches of Costa Brava.

On the ground floor, at garden level, you will find a space designed for leisure: a game room with foosball, a complete bathroom, the washing machine and a wood-fired oven. The exterior is dominated by the garden with a swimming pool, perfect for relaxing and enjoying fresh air.

On the first floor, with direct access from the street, is the living area: a cosy living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen-diner with a second fireplace and an indoor barbecue. From the kitchen, you can access the porch, where you will find the outdoor dining area and barbecue. This space connects directly to the garden and the swimming pool.

The second floor is home to the resting area with 4 bedrooms: a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and three bedrooms (one double and two triple bedrooms) sharing a full bathroom. This floor has air conditioning in the corridor leading to the rooms.

The house has heating in all rooms and ceiling fans in all bedrooms. It also features a television with international channels in several various languages.

Next to the house, there is a lawn designated for car parking, with direct access to the garden.

The home owners of Cal Pep also run the Restaurant Can Masferrer, located 260 meters from the house, where you can enjoy traditional Catalan cuisine. At the restaurant's parking lot, you will also find an electric car charging point.

Weekend with friends

Cal Pep is ideal for spending a few days with family or friends. We really enjoyed the pool, the ping-pong and foosball tables, the BBQ and, above all, the terraces. The bedrooms are very comfortable, and the hosts are super friendly and attentive. It’s easy to get there, as the road is fully paved, although if you’re not used to it, it’s a little narrow for two cars in some sections.

For cooking lovers

The owners of the house, Toni and Sonia, are very attentive and easy to deal with, they were available for anything we might need. The house in general is very good and has a lot of charm. The absolute strong point is its equipment for gastronomy: if you like to cook, you can enjoy it a lot. It has a fantastic grill, a perfect wood-fired oven for making pizzas, a kit for paellas and the necessary utensils. We used everything. As points to consider, the layout has many stairs to access the different areas of the house, something important to consider if you are traveling with small children or people with reduced mobility. It is also a property that is warm during the day, although the temperature improves quite a bit if you keep the air conditioning on and the doors of the rooms closed. At night, with the fans or the windows open, you sleep wonderfully. We had a great time, we enjoyed the pool, and the cooking equipment, and as always if you go with good friends or your loved ones it adds to the experience.

What is the maximum capacity of Cal Pep and how is it calculated?

The maximum capacity of Cal Pep is 10 people. For your comfort and in compliance with the regulations, the maximum capacity of the house cannot be exceeded in any case.
In this house, children from 2 years old are counted when calculating the maximum capacity of the accommodation. Babies are not counted in Cal Pep.

What kind of swimming pool does the house have?

Cal Pep has a swimming pool saltwater of 9x4m and a depth of 2.2 to 0.6m.

When are the swimming pools opened?

Its outdoor swimming pool is available all year round, even though it is not heated.

Are dogs allowed at Cal Pep?

Yes, dogs are allowed for an additional fee of €40 per dog, with a maximum of 2 dogs.

Failing to include the dog in the reservation may result in a financial penalty and the retention of the deposit.

Doubts about the booking, check-in and check-out times

When and how to make the payments for the reservation at Cal Pep?

To be able to confirm the reservation, you will need to make a payment of a downpayment of 25% of the total reservation by card, bank transfer or using a bonus or gift check.

Cal Pep does not offer the option of online check-in, therefore check-in will be done directly with the homeowners upon arrival at the house. The first person in your group to arrive at the house will need to make the remaining payment and sign the contract. You can pay the rest of the outstanding amounts such as the tourist tax, the deposit and the rest of the rent:

In cash at your arrival at the house directly to the house owners.
By bank transfer. If you choose to pay the outstanding amount by bank transfer, you will find the bank details of the homeowners in the booking confirmation email to make the payment.

How can I request the invoice for the stay?

If you want to have the invoice for your stay at Cal Pep, you will have to provide the data you want to appear on the invoice directly to the homeowners and at the end of the stay, they will prepare the invoice and they will send it to you.

Please note that this accommodation can legally only issue invoices to individuals. Cal Pep cannot issue invoices to companies.

What time can we check in and out of Cal Pep?

Check-in time
The check-in time at Cal Pep is from 17:00.

This house offers the option to check-in before 17:00 with the early check-in supplement, depending on the details of each booking. During the booking process and in the confirmation email, you will informed whether this option is available for your selected dates.

If the early check-in supplement is not added, check-in time will be from 17:00.

If your stay dates allow it, you can add the early check-in supplement during the booking process or from your private user area up to 24 hours before your arrival date.

Check-out time
The usual check-out time at Cal Pep is before 11:00 am.

On Sundays and public holidays, you will automatically be able to enjoy the house until 17:00.

This house offers the option to check-out later than 17:00 with the night check-out supplement, which will allow you to enjoy the house until 21:00, depending on the features of each booking. When making the booking, and also in the confirmation email, we will let you know if this supplement can be contracted for the selected dates.

You can add the night check-out during the booking process or from your private user area.

Where and how do I pick up the house keys?

A few days before your arrival at Cal Pep you can contact the house owners to confirm the time of your arrival and they will explain how the keys will be handed over.
